Child’s Pose (Balasana)
Needing a quick recovery after a long week, weekend, or even day?
Child’s pose is a great and effective way to help the stress and hectic time melt away. Stretches hips, legs, ankles, spine, and if your active in it can stretch side body, amongst other things.
Just get into your child’s pose and breath, make this your meditation for the day or even week.
Remember that where you place your feet, legs, arms, and even fingertips determines the stretch of the pose. This picture gives a great explanation of how to do various stretches in this pose.
